What is my major?

My name is Colleen Turzynski. I am currently a second degree bachelor majoring in Digital media in Department of Art and Media Design at University Gallaudet in Washington DC and at the same time working as an assistant photographer in Department of University Communications.

My Art professor is Max Kazemzadeh. I am taking his two courses : Digital Media II and Robotics&Interactivity.

The major Digital Media allows students to receive a thorough theoretical and practical knowledge both of the selected fields of application of computer techniques and the basics of art education. Information includes such areas as: basic algorithms, computer service, software engineering, multimedia, creating graphics and computer animation, three-dimensional modeling.
In the field of fine arts attaches great importance to visual forms, which is why students study drawing, composition, painting, classic animation, photography and the art of cinematography. Familiarize themselves with the implementation of short films, and in particular the special effects made in 3D techniques and computer animation. The purpose of the arts is to sensitize students to the visual arts.

This aspect special emphasis because the image is the most important element both in computer animation as well as computer games.
